LMS 4-6-2 Princess Coronation Class City of Birmingham First of the steamlined Coronations to be built with a double chimney, the City of Birmingham left the Crewe workshops in July 1939. By the end of its working life, and after being rebuilt in 1946, City of Birmingham had travelled over 1.5 million miles and was eventually retired to the Birmingham Museum.
